About Us

At our Parkour Gym Club run by Street Motion Exeter, we consider ourselves to be a more action-packed alternative to your usual gymnastics club. Freerunning is a fun and exhilarating way to exercise for all ages and helps to develop focus and a can-do attitude, as well as physical strength and fitness. No other Exeter gymnastics club can offer this full-body workout whilst fostering creativity, quick-thinking skills and confidence.

Our Exeter based Parkour & Freerunning Academy at Exeter Sports Academy is our biggest and best indoor training location with a huge floor area and an extensive range of custom built obstacles. It’s also home to the UK’s largest Air Pad; an inflatable surface for Freerunning and martial arts tricking, custom built for the Street Motion Academy. We run classes for all ages and abilities on Tuesday to Friday evenings, between 4pm and 9pm. We also offer birthday parties, workshops and activity days. If you’re looking for an alternative to an Exeter gymnastics club, Street Motion should be at the top of your list.

While gymnastics and freerunning share some common ground, their respective approaches are far more distinct. On the surface, many of the movements look similar but the mindset and philosophy behind the movement is totally different for each discipline. Gymnastics tends to be very competitive and is considerably focused on comparing the skills of one participant against another. Parkour and Freerunning on the other hand, are much more focused on the individual with the emphasis on personal progression and development rather than comparing oneself to others. Street Motion is the Exeter gym club that can offer you real functional fitness challenges which are both fun and practical.

If you’re looking for an Exeter based gymnastics club without the formalities, leotards and slow progression to the moves you really want to try, Street Motion can offer you an unbeatable alternative. With team-spirit orientated classes to promote confidence and sociability, plus a focus on pushing the body to achieve its potential, parkour/freerunning is what gymnastics should have been. No more pointed toes and cartwheels, it’s time to flip and jump!
